Spiritual Insight from the Story of The Little Prince
Where does your motivation come from?
You hear people urging, "Get motivated!" And there are all kinds of tricks Exam Express EE0-525 you can use to develop a degree of motivation.
The Little Prince's visit to the fifth planet and his talk with the lamplighter reflects the condition of many on our own planet, Earth. The lamplighter is driven by his orders-instructions he was given long ago, but that today no longer match his reality.
In a similar manner, many of us are driven by the way we were programmed-that is, by the "orders" we received when we were young, the way we were instructed to act because "that's how life is supposed to work."
The lamplighter inadvertently performs a task that's quite beautiful in the Little Prince's eyes-and this is true of many of us. We do things that are useful to other people. In this we are to be commended.
Exam Express EE0-460 Yet like the lamplighter, many of us are so driven by our childhood programming and the expectations life places on us that we are exhausted. Our energy zapped, all we really want to do is take it easy a lot of the time.
How many of us feel like we "have" to get up and get going in the morning, instead of looking forward to a new day and jumping out of bed well rested and with excitement-the way we once did as little children?
The reason we are worn out much of the time is that our motivation doesn't flow from our heart, and consequently we experience resistance.
Only that which flows from the heart generates the state we know as the "zone," in which we become so engrossed in what we're doing that we are unaware of the passage of time.
We are living what Jesus called "eternal" life, in that time has vanished from our awareness as a result of our total presence in whatever it is we are doing. Eternal life isn't just quantity of life, but quality. It's experiencing the Now so fully that we lose all sense of the dreary passage of time and the tediousness of tasks.
What's driving you in each of the various PMI-SP aspects of your life? What motivates you? Why do you do what you do?
In the answers to these questions you'll very possibly discover at least one of the reasons you're tired much of the time, lack energy, or are devoid of enthusiasm-if these things are true of you.
Then, you'll want to step into the Now in whatever you are doing-something the Little Prince will show us how to do tomorrow.
