Freedom Belongs to Anyone Who Wants It

"Freedom belongs to anyone who wants it-who has courage enough to live it and if need be-will willingly suffer for it." Jiohn Spencer
Freedom is defined as independence. Taken in the context of a variety of definitions, it can be called a separation from the imprisonment of negative thoughts, from political anarchy, or from any form of personal demons. It can involve a release from a negative past, from past hurts, or from the entanglements of drugs or alcohol. Whatever the context, we are never totally able to be our complete selves when entrapped by the shackles of personal traps, whatever they may be.
How many of us are held captive by our ideations, by the false tapes that constantly run through our minds, or by belief systems that serve to hold us back and keep us imprisoned? We all have dreams and aspirations for our lives. The most basic one is wanted to be loved and accepted for who we are. Pursuance of this fulfillment is blocked by those thought waves that say "no, you can't have that!'"
The first step in acquisition of independence is the desire to have it. This is basic to human existence. So how do we break away from concepts that block our progress? Our true selves, or our souls, are completely free of them. So it is helpful to take some time each day to look inward for guidance. We all have the capacity to grow from deep inner reflection.

When we do a lot of reading that brings higher concepts to mind, we elevate our perceptions and beliefs about who we really are. Reading the Bible and memorizing verses from other great religious writings, praying, and meeting for communal prayer all serve to elevate us into states of peace.
Following a life of separation from worldly traps requires courage. We all can easily succumb to materialistic traps, drugs, alcohol, or the desire to live a meaningless life minus any purpose. Temptation to do so exists all around us. Sometimes it takes a great deal of fortitude to say no to empty pursuits and to those who would want us to pursue them.
We may be called upon to experience pain in the pursuit of freedom. Letting go of habits that have provided a false sense of security may bring about temporaryOMG-OCUP-300 grief. After all, that drink or that negative concept may have served us well for years and there may be pain in the process of letting go. But the ultimate joy is worth it.
